William Shakespeare!

Biography:

Shakespeare was born in 1564, probably on April 23 and he died on 1616

( like Cervantes ). At age 18, William Shakespeare married Anne Hathaway,

with her, he had three sons. Shakespeare lived in Stratford twenty years;

the next 25 years as an actor and playwright in London, and the last five

retirament back in Stratford. In 1596 his son Hannet died at the age of

eleven. But he became one of the partners in the " Globe Theatre ".

When Queen Elizabeth died in 1603 Shakespeare´s popularity

continued uninterrupted.

Shakespeare´s Plays:

Hamlet, Macbeth, Othello, Romeo and Juliet, King Lear, Antony

and Cleopatra , A Midsummer Night´s Dream.

Shakespeare on Film:

I have seen " Romeo and Juliet" ( 1996 ) with Leonardo Di Caprio

as Romeo. I liked very much because this film is a creative vision

in a way of actuality, in a moder city, with a feud between the two

entities of Montague and Capulet.

And I have seen " Much Ado About Nothing" ( 1993 ), by Kenneth

Branagh. I liked Kenneth Branagh´s romance with Emma Thompson,

it was funny ( I have this film at home ).

-Shakespeare is considered to be the greatest writer in English Literature.

The English language owes a great debt to Shakespeare because he

invented more words and expressions.
